Casino free games …

… For once it is for the advertising purposes. While observing this trend playing a free game with a high payout rate, you may get tempted to deposit real money.

A simple conclusion from the above is: It’s not a good idea to build one’s impression of an online casino by playing free games.

A joke comes to mind:

Bill Gates dies and fronts up to the pearly gates.

St Peter: “Well, you’ve got a choice. Have a look around here. Pop down to Hell and see what Satan has to offer. Check us out, and then let me know your decision.”

Bill has a look around heaven. Lots’ s of sombre people singing hymns, praising the Lord. He goes down to Hell. There are beautiful beaches, lots of sun, sand, attractive women. Long cool drinks that never get you drunk. He loves it. He goes back to St Peter.

Gates: “Look, I know you’ re really doing good things here, but Hell seems more with it. More my kind of scene, you know what I mean? No hard feelings, but I pick Hell.”

St Peter: “No worries. You’ve got it.”

Bill finds himself back in Hell, neck deep in fire and brimstone, suffering eternal torment. He can’ t work it out.

Gates: “Hey! St Peter! Where are the beautiful girls and long beaches and cool drinks?”

St Peter: ” Sorry if you got confused, That was just the demo version.”

That sounds like false advertising to me.

Almost all of the online casino websites offer to play their games free of charge, without having to wager real money. For start, they give $1000 in virtual coins and you can start spinning the reels. In general, you don’t win a million dollars, but you keep noticing that you are not loosing, but in fact keep winning more money……
…..Why do they do things like that? There are usually two reasons. For once it is for the advertising purposes. While observing this trend playing a free game with a high payout rate, you may get tempted to deposit real money. Secondarily, casino software developers are not obliged to imitate the same playing conditions in free games.

There my friends is the rub. The game should be identical whether or not you are playing for real. You play for fun and win, so you play for real and lose!! That sounds like false advertising to me.

Almost all of the online casino websites offer to play their games free of charge, without having to wager real money. For start, they give $1000 in virtual coins and you can start spinning the reels. In general, you don’t win a million dollars, but you keep noticing that you are not loosing, but in fact keep winning more money. The most glaring example of the “winning” slots is superslots.com.

Superslots software as well as most of any other online casinos has an interesting feature: “autoplay”. They let you define several parameters like, how many times you wish to spins the reels, on which conditions to stop, etc.

So, I’ve decided to test the payout of the Superslots games. I set it for 3000 spins (4 sets of 500 spins) with a starting balance of $3000. And this is what I got:

After approximately 1000 spins the balance went down to $2710. On the 2000th spin, the balance went up to $3243, and the experiment finished with almost what I had at the start, $2975.

Why do they do things like that? There are usually two reasons. For once it is for the advertising purposes. While observing this trend playing a free game with a high payout rate, you may get tempted to deposit real money. Secondarily, casino software developers are not obliged to imitate the same playing conditions in free games.

A simple conclusion from the above is: It’s not a good idea to build one’s impression of an online casino by playing free games.
